Coming back

Okay, the bug reports still look scary, but less so than before. I want to start working on the next module and am getting excited about it. I'll try to get rid of the game breaking bugs for Chapter 2 first (will probably remove the Con penalties from hunger).

By the way, can someone update me on what happened with the Vault? I figure I'll dig around for information, but right now I'm in the mood to work on DH.

Edit:

Updated Chapter 2 on the community vault. I only fixed the most essential bugs and some others that were easy to find and test. It's always possible that something malfunctions due to the new changes, though. :D

  2. vault in ForeveronMaintenance mode.
nv is a old rag, that barely holds together (exmpl: screens fail to load)
if it gonna be online,it wont be soon.
there are few men who give a shit at IGN abut nv and i bet they fix it in spare time and between the lunch.

  3. I just finished your module, and then I got to see your post only a few hours before.

Demonheart is wonderful, great fun. I've already made my bug posts and I rather love the module itself. You may want to look into, if this helps, ways you can change the way con debuffs work so they just reduce you to 1 HP instead of negatives so you don't have to do a shitload of extra scripting. I'm sure the resource is out there since it's been implemented on PWs like Amia.

Keep up the hard work <3

  4. The old vault seems to have kicked the bucket, or at least is out of commission for the foreseeable future. A lot of people are migrating to the new vault.

  5. but new vault is less usable in term of search.
plus(i mean BIG minus) is screwed release(post) dates.
old and new content is mixed and now i can't find shit there.
hope nv will be up sometime in the future.

  6. Glad to see you back at it and hope you have had a nice vacation.
As soon as the hot weather finally goes away I'll give the latest version a proper bug hunt. :)

  8. Great to have you back! Hope all is well with you and yours in the "real world".

Yeah, the nwvault site is down for awhile. Someone reposted a tweet from someone at IGN saying they are working on it, and it could be a matter of weeks before it gets back up and running again. I guess I am the eternal optimist, in that I think eventually it will come back.

But regardless, it looks like the new vault is where it's at now. I also don't find it as user friendly as the old one, but the site is still a work in progress. And content is being added to it almost daily.

Anyway, great to have you back on here again, Lamb! Fantastic to hear from you!

  9. I have a request - exported characters again. I need to see their XP and variables. So, if you don't mind me spying on you, send me your characters saved after Chapter 2. You should comment on how they got along with other characters and what choices they made, so I can check if the variable values reflect that. (demonheartlamb @ gmail . com)

    1. I know it's posted somewhere, but I can't - for the life of me! - find it. So I hope it's not bothersome to ask what file(s) are needed to be sent to you. I have my last game saves still on hand and I'd like to ship 'em to you, but I'm not quite sure which file(s) you need! Thank you!

    2. Your character file(s) with the .bic extension from "localvault" folder. People usually have several characters with the same name because of multiple module exports, so it's probably the newest or the biggest file.

I can also export the character myself if you send me a save from the last area (with the lamb), though the save would be a bigger file to send.

    3. (If you're sending a whole savegame, I think you need to zip all the files from saves/whatever-save)

    4. Thank you, again! Consider it sent. :D

  10. Last week I started playing NWN 1 again to try out some modules and I'm amazed by the one you made. I'm playing through it for the second time and absolutely love it. I can't wait to see what you have in mind for the next chapter :)

ps. I'll mail you the char from my previous playthrough (I didn't encounter any bugs btw)

  12. not orly reltd to chapter 2,but anyway:
in prelude in placeables.2da you have error.
on line 1106 ("LAMB Flood: Goo 1, Blk, 1x1") and some below expected to be 14 columns (fields) but there are 12.

  14. does prestige classes work in ch1+ ?
i'v noticed, that they are disabled in prelude (i can understand disabled inital calsses, but prestige classes ??maybe i want to be rogue assassin :< )
if so,i can suggest to add quest for prestige classes (you need to do cartain quest to be able to train as an assassin or weapon master or arcane archer or whatever)

    1. Ignore my comment below, wanted to make sure I included it as an actual reply so it made sense.

      To repeat what I said:

There are no prestige classes. The classes that exist have been custom-made by Lamb in order to fit in with the setting - which is an ordinary town girl that ends up thrust into things beyond her control in a low magic world.

That said, as the demonheart girl gains experience - and levels - the classes gradually become more powerful to reflect it. I believe she's included a readme file that goes over the specifications of each provided class. Bards, for instance, eventually get sneak attacks. Rogues eventually get death attacks. All custom!

    1. it's like 10-20% forward and edges from pauldron are gon IN the shoulder. tried to edit it,but for some reason it refuse to move ingame.
only rotation is visible, but it doesn't solve the ugliness of misplaced pauldron.
yea,i'm detail freak...when i notice visual errors that with me all the time it annoys me (can't ignore it :< )

    2. oh yeah,it's also have rotation mistakes(which i corrected,not THAT horribru as it was,but still not good :< )

  17. Spoilers!:

I found a bug if you gave sir brash his bastard sword and dagger back in rivera's lair.

Right before the treestump part in chapter 2 when he's still in the party he had the following on him: rivera's armour, scarcewall plate, light crossbow, longsword, sir brash's jeweled bastard sword, sir brash's jeweled dagger, amulet of stamina +2, boots of sneaking +1, black cloak, bolts +1. He had the bastard sword equipped, as well as the scarcewall plate, the amulet, the cloak, boots and bolts.

After the treestump part he rejoins with 2x scarcewall plate armour on him and 2x Sir Brash's jeweled dagger, one of each equipped. I suppose he could have lost the items when he fell off the cliff but getting back duplicate items can't be right heh.
